Public holidays in Großgermania

Public holidays in Großgermania are legislated at all three main levels of government: nationally by the Imperial Government, regionally by the constituent countries, as well as by the provinces. The Kanarische Inseln, an autonomous territory, also designates statutory holidays. Despite the numerous holidays legislated by all three levels, only federally- and regionally-mandated holidays are widely celebrated, as they incorporate all major secular holidays celebrated within the Empire, while provincial holidays are generally specific to each province.

While major Christian and Nordic holidays are widely celebrated throughout Großgermania, the Constitution's clause regarding freedom of religion (contained in Article 53) prevents any religious holidays from being officially adopted by any governmental tier. Although it has never been officially recognized, a customary right is enjoyed by people of all faiths to be relieved of employment on religious holidays, excepting those people employed in certain 'essenial services'.

The following chart lists the federal and provincial public holidays observed in Großgermania.
